Mekala Gunasekaran received her PhD in the Department of Experimental Medicine II at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Her training in studying protein-protein interactions and its significance in the cellular signaling pathways will be utilized in identifying novel molecular interactions and their implications in muscular diseases. Her main focus is to identify and understand the molecular mechanisms of muscle diseases using cell culture and Knockout mice models. Her hobbies are listening to music and spending time with family.
