Natalya Wells received her BS degree in Health Sciences from the University of Minnesota Rochester in May of 2021. During her undergraduate years, she worked as a research assistant in Dr. YS Prakash and Dr. Christina Pabelick's lab at Mayo Clinic investigating airway disorders. In Dr. Kang's lab, she focuses on researching rare neuromuscular disorders through components of the Notch Pathway and analyzing their interactions to understand their effect on myogenesis.

To answer related research questions, she is involved in cell culture and mouse experiments where she has developed techniques including protein-protein interactions, immunofluorescence, proliferation, differentiation, and qPCR assays.

Outside the lab, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her dogs.
